We are a group of three psychologists and social workers providing psychotherapy, counseling, and assessment services to individuals, couples, and families as well as consultation to agencies.  We provide treatment for several specific problem areas including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, marital and relationship issues, family issues, child management and parenting issues, behavior disorders of children and adolescents, adult and child ADHD, and substance abuse and alcohol-related conditions.

We are all licensed either by the State Board of Social Workers (Patterson), the State Board of Psychologists (Athey and Biber) and by the State Board of Marital and Family Therapists (Biber).

We are located in the Dilworth section of Charlotte in the Scott-Hoke house, which is listed in the Register of Historic Places.  This 1901 Victorian house -- which coincidentally housed the first practicing psychologist in Charlotte, Dr. Roy Hoke, who took possession of the house in 1946 to use both as a home and as his office -- was renovated and became the home of Dilworth Psychotherapy Associates in 1993.
